COMPANION: COproduction of a decision tool for people with advanced cancer considering hoMe PArenteral NutritION

This research will explore decision-making around home parenteral nutrition in advanced cancer, with the aim of coproducing (where patients, carers and healthcare professionals work together) a decision tool to support those affected by advanced cancer making decisions around home parenteral nutrition.

Parenteral nutrition is a type of liquid nutrition given into a vein. This type of nutrition is sometimes used when someone does not have a functioning gut, which may be due to cancer or cancer treatment.

Patient and public involvement (PPI) is essential for the development and delivery of this research. We are therefore looking for people with experience of home parenteral nutrition in advanced cancer to work with the research team as part of two study advisory groups.
