SUMMARY:Science is open - Lab visits from a public perspective
DESCRIPTION:Public members are vital collaborators to ensure relevant and effective research. This project aims to raise awareness and increase transparency for the ‘behind-the-scenes’ work that goes on within labs\, for example\, getting results from blood tests or biopsies. \nOver the past 4 months\, public members have visited five labs that research the lungs\, cancer\, the heart\, maternal health\, and arthritis. Their experience has been insightful and they have taken photos of how various samples are processed. We are excited to share these photos with you at this event!
