About this project

Health research can sometimes feel difficult to access, especially for people who have not been involved before.

This website aims to make it easier for people, communities and researchers to connect, share opportunities, and work together on research that is relevant, inclusive and useful.

Project background

This website was developed by the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, King’s College London, through the Inclusive Research and Education Practices project.

Development with communities

Communities were keen to develop a website that can support:

  • In-person events run by communities and King’s College London
  • Relationship building
  • Equal partnership between communities and King’s College London
  • Resources and support for communities, individuals and researchers

Development with public involvement staff

Staff working in public involvement roles across King’s Health Partners shared that the following aims are important:

  • Clear and consistent resources and training for researchers
  • Creating and developing connections with communities
  • Awareness of funding for public involvement
  • More collaboration across the university
